It was land of medieval the knights Templar, as proved by the architecture of the Longroiva castle, standing 4 kilometers away from Vale da Cerdeira farm. The main castle tower stands up as the richest historic symbol of this humble village. The hot springs of Longroiva with its special water qualities are known to be a treatment to several health problems such as muscles, rheumatism, breathing and skin diseases. .
This is a wonderful land of valleys and mountains with the pre-historic site of “Vale do Coa”, a heritage of mankind recognized by UNESCO with its museum at about 15 kilometers away from Vale da Cerdeira.
